MariaLuz Arellano

Marialuz Arellano brings over 15 years of experience as an amateur long-distance triathlete and coach to The Base Camp. She has completed 18 full Ironman races and 34 Ironman 70.3 races, competing internationally at world championships, including a podium finish at the Ironman World Championship in Kona 2023 and a 7th place in Nice 2024. With a strong background in cycling, running, and long-distance triathlon, Marialuz helps athletes improve race strategy, pacing, and mindset.

As an assistant coach alongside Kevin Collington, Mary Robbins, and the Mallorca-based team of Frank and Kaisa Jakobsen, she provides guidance on training, race execution, and mental preparation. Based in Ecuador, Marialuz combines her personal racing experience with a high-performance, personalized approach to coaching, inspiring athletes to reach their full potential.
